Garland Borowski
Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Garland began his dance training at age 9 with his older sister Kiersten Borowski Boyett. He started training at Mobile Ballet under Sydney Adams at age 11 and joined the Mobile Ballet Company at age 12. At 15, Garland relocated to Chicago where he was accepted into the Studio Company of Ballet Chicago under artistic director Daniel Duell. Afterwards, Garland trained at A&A Ballet for a year under the instruction of Alexei Kremnev and Anna Reznik. Throughout the years Garland has been given the privilege to perform various roles several ballets including The Nutcracker, Dracula, Coppelia, Snow White, Cinderella, Square Dance, Tchaikovsky Pas De Deux, Stars and Stripes, and Serenade as well as original works by choreographers such as Daniel Duell, Ted Seymore, Brittany Hurst, Alexei Kremnev, and Terrence Marling. In the summer, Garland was given the privilege to train at nationally and internationally renowned summer intensives including Charlotte Ballet, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, Pacific Northwest Ballet, The School of American Ballet, and Ballet Austin. While attending these programs he was able to work with highly esteemed instructors such as Peter Boal and Suzanne Farrell. Garland joined Huntsville Ballet’s Professional Company as a soloist in 2018 and is currently pursuing a B.A. in theater at The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
