Anna Patsfall
Anna Patsfall grew up in Cincinnati, OH where she attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts and received her early ballet training under Mark Diamond, Sheila Cohen and Patricia Rozow. She graduated with her BFA from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of music where she studied under Yi Qi Chang, Carol Iwasaki, Oleg Sabline and Jiang Qi. Upon graduation Anna joined Kentucky Ballet Theater in Lexington, KY where she spent twelve seasons. While at Kentucky Ballet Theater Anna danced principle roles including Spartucus pas de duex, Fairy Doll pas de trois, Mina in Dracula, Sugar Plum, Snow Queen and Dewdrop in The Nutcracker, Swanhilda in Coppelia, Belle in Beauty and The Beast, Marcela in Carmen, Blue Bird pas de duex, Carabosse and Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and Tinkerbell in Peter Pan as well as featured roles in several classical and contemporary works. Anna has appeared as a guest dancer and teacher in Ponce, PR, Shamburg, IL, Owensboro, KY and Winchester, KY. As a choreographer Anna created six original works for Kentucky Ballet Theater that were performed by the company in Lexington’s annual Ballet Under the Stars event. Anna has served on the faculty of the Kentucky Ballet Theater, Winchester Ballet, The Tallahassee Ballet, Florida State University and Western Kentucky University. She has created original choreography for Kentucky Ballet Theatre, Ballet Senorial, the Tallahassee Ballet, Florida State University and Western Kentucky University. Anna holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography from the Florida State University. Anna is currently Assistant Professor of Dance at Western Kentucky University.
